Frequently Asked Questions
What is Twinmotion used for?
Twinmotion is real-time visualisation software used to create realistic images, animations, panoramas and VR presentations from 3D models. It is widely used in architecture, interior design, landscape and urban planning.
Is Twinmotion suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Twinmotion is one of the easiest rendering tools to learn. Beginners start with importing models, materials and lighting, and progress to landscapes, populating scenes, animations and professional presentation outputs.
Do I need previous 3D or rendering experience?
Basic knowledge of a 3D program such as SketchUp, Revit or Rhino is helpful but not essential. If you already use Twinmotion, your training can focus on the areas you want to improve. LDTC training is personalised and project-focused.
What will I learn on a Twinmotion course?
Depending on your level and goals, you can learn importing and syncing models, materials and textures, sun and artificial lighting, vegetation and landscaping, people and vehicles, cameras, animations, panoramas and exporting images and videos.
Which software can I use Twinmotion with?
Twinmotion works with SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, ArchiCAD and 3ds Max, so you can bring in your existing models and keep them updated as your design develops.
Can I learn Twinmotion on a Mac?
Yes. Twinmotion runs on both Windows and macOS. For in-person training, suitable computers are provided at the training centre. For live online training, you will be able to access control to our screen and use the software at the same time as us.
What support will I receive after my Twinmotion training?

Current Twinmotion training includes lifetime email support, and LDTC states that students can keep their work files and lesson recordings for future revision. LDTC also highlights handouts and supporting course documents.
Will I receive a certificate after my Twinmotion course?
Yes. Course completion includes a certificate, and LDTC also provides additional support depending on the course, including lesson materials and ongoing email support.
