What is Revit used for?
Revit is Autodesk's Building Information Modelling software used by architects, structural engineers, and MEP engineers to design, model, and document buildings and infrastructure projects. Unlike AutoCAD, which produces 2D drawings, Revit creates intelligent 3D models where all drawings, schedules, and documentation are generated directly from the model and update automatically when changes are made.
How long does it take to learn Revit?
For complete beginners, our introductory Revit courses start from 10 hours of 1-to-1 training. To reach a confident working standard suitable for professional use, most students complete between 16 and 30 hours. Our flexible format means you can spread sessions over days, weeks, or months depending on your schedule.
How much do Revit courses cost in London?
No. While familiarity with AutoCAD or another CAD programme is helpful, it is not required. Our courses start from the very beginning and are tailored to your existing level of knowledge. Many of our students come to Revit with no prior CAD experience at all.
Is Revit training available online?
Yes. All our Revit courses are available live online via Zoom or Teams, with full screen sharing and remote access support. Online sessions are fully interactive and delivered 1-to-1 not pre-recorded so you get exactly the same personalised experience as in-person training.
Can I learn Revit in person in London?
Yes. In-person training is available at our studio in Kennington, London, SW9. You choose your own day and time, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 7pm. There are no fixed timetables sessions are booked flexibly around your schedule.
What certificate will I receive?
On completion you receive an LDTC Certificate of Completion, provided as a downloadable PDF. You can showcase this on your LinkedIn profile and CV to demonstrate your Revit and BIM skills to employers and clients.

What is the difference between Revit and AutoCAD?
AutoCAD is primarily a 2D drafting tool, producing technical drawings manually. Revit is a 3D BIM platform where the entire building is modelled once and all drawings, plans, sections, and schedules are generated automatically from that model. Most architecture and construction firms in London now use both AutoCAD for certain drawing tasks and Revit for full project BIM coordination.
